  2. The eminent members of the public in Kerala are seriously thinking to form a Regional Committtee to celebrate not only the 150th birth anniversary of SWAMI VIVEKANANDA but the 150th birth anniversary of SWAMI NIRMALANANDA also, which falls on the same year.

  3. To start with, there will be some events to commemorate another great event in Kerala prior to the 150th birth anniversary. Please recall that it was on 15th February 1911 that SWAMI NIRMALANANDA reached Kerala for the first time. This was the real beginning of the great Vedantic Missionary work which was formally inaugurated by SWAMI NIRMALANANDA in Kerala. This Vedantic Missionary movement is known as the famous RAMAKRISHNA MOVEMENT OF KERALA.

The hundredth year of Tulsi Maharaj's coming to Kerala is a great event for all followers of Sri Ramakrishna and Vedanta especially for the Malayalees.

  4. Centenary of Tulasi Maharaj's first Kerala visit which is the centenary of the RAMAKRISHNA MISSIONARY WORKS (or RAMAKRISHNA MOVEMENT)IN KERALA. The exact date of this glorious centenary event is 15th February 2011.

(On this day, the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda and Swami Nirmalananda will be inaugurated in Kerala)

  5. The 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and Swami Nirmalananda falls in 2013. There will be a year long celebration of this great event starting from January 2013 to December 2013.
(The Committee consisting of the eminent leaders of the public will be formed and officially announced for celebrating these two great events on 15th February 2011)

  6. As a prelude for these two events, we propose to release some books. The books will be sold among the public as a community project by the active participation of the members of the public in an innovative way. The sale proceedings will be utilised for the charitable works undertaken by the Ramakrishna Ashrama of Sri Ramakrishna Nagar at Ottapalam, Kerala in line with the Practical Vedanta ideals.
